Description

Details

This stainless steel element is entirely made of stainless steel: the element itself and the base. The element itself has been polished to be shiny, smooth and easy to clean.

This 2800W element has a base to tip length of 27cm and a foldback length of 22 cm.  It is a good fit for any kettle with a diameter of 30cm and bigger.

For brewing, you want a low watt density element: the power per square centimeter should be as low as possible to prevent scorching. This element has a watt density of 11W per cm2, which is very low.

See the table below for the how much current the element will draw. We kept it under 13A, the rating of UK domestic power sockets.

Voltage 230 V 240 V
Power 2800 W 3050 W
Current 12.2 A 12.7 A

Note: always consult an electrician for advice and help with wiring your elements! Under no circumstances should these be used without proper wiring, ground fault circuit protection and overcurrent circuit protection.

Excellent product!
Excellent heating elements! I am using few of them - the build quality is just amazing! I use a 50L keg (keggle) with 30L of wort - keeps good boiling even on non-insulated keg! Definitely advised!

Good product
First batch with this 2800w element and the element mounting kit.
Way enough power for my 30Liters pot, Quick water heating and no worth scorching at all (DF1047).
You will need a controller (like PID, PWM...) or you are going to get a very, very vigorous and splashing everywhere with 27Liters of wort. I run mine at 75/80% during the boil.
Can't go back to my stove now :)
